Description

2012 Land Rover Defender 2.2 TDCi Puma - Tastefully Upgraded, Exceptional Example This truck has been my pride and joy for the past three years, and it's wanted for absolutely nothing during my ownership. Unfortunately, the wife and kids have decided they'd prefer something a little more comfortable, and I've finally run out of energy trying to convince them how cool they look in it. They've won this round, so reluctantly, and much to my disgust, it's time for someone else to enjoy it! As you can see from the photos, this is a real head-turner. I regularly get comments from people about it, and it's not hard to see why. It's been a bit of a pavement princess during my ownership and hasn't been taken off-road. However, I do regularly engage low range and lock the differential to keep everything working as it should. Engine and Maintenance The engine was replaced just over two years ago, approximately 27,000 miles ago, and has been faultless ever since. The truck has now covered just under 104,500 miles. It has been maintained by a local Land Rover specialist, with oil changes carried out every 5,000 miles. It also benefits from a new Td5Inside hybrid turbo, which has contributed to improved fuel economy and a smoother driving experience. Upgrades and Specification This Defender has benefited from a substantial investment in upgrades, predominantly from Lucari and Optimal. Much of the work was carried out professionally as the previous owner's lockdown project, with the upgrades alone costing in excess of 12k. The result is a Defender with real presence, a quality finish and a specification that sets it apart from the crowd. Features include: Lucari and Optimal upgrades. Td5Inside hybrid turbo. Demand Engineering 2.5-inch stainless steel exhaust system with a single sports silencer. Daytime running lights. Gloss black KBX grille, headlight surrounds and air intakes. Driving lights brought back from Australia that genuinely turn night into day! Both the interior and exterior are in excellent condition, reflecting the care and attention this truck has received. The Bottom Line This is a Defender that has clearly benefited from considerable investment, careful maintenance and a great deal of enthusiasm from its previous and current owners. I'm genuinely reluctant to let it go, but family comfort has finally beaten the Defender coolness out of me. A fantastic-looking truck that needs to be seen in person to be fully appreciated.
