Description
Audi TT 1.8T Quattro 225 BHP Manual BAM Engine MOT Repair Project.
Selling my silver 2004 Audi TT Quattro coup with the sought-after 1.8 turbo BAM engine and manual gearbox. Mileage recorded at its recent MOT was 139,242 miles.
The engine runs lovely, and the car is very clean, with bodywork and interior in very good condition for its age. It is a car with plenty of appeal for a TT enthusiast or a mechanic looking for a worthwhile repair project.
Unfortunately, it failed its MOT on 12 October 2026. I cannot afford to have the repairs carried out myself, which is the reason for selling. I want to be open about its condition so a buyer knows what work is required.
The MOT failures are:
Both rear tyres below the legal tread requirement, with ply or cords exposed recorded as dangerous.
ABS warning light indicating a fault.
Airbag/SRS warning light indicating a fault.
Damaged front-left ABS wiring.
Front-left position light and rear-right brake light not working.
Front-right lower suspension ball-joint dust cover defective.
The report also lists a deteriorated front-left CV boot and a rear number-plate light not working as minor defects. Advisories include a corroded rear-left spring, corrosion to both rear brake pipes, an oil leak described as not excessive, an insecure front number plate and a front-left tyre close to the legal limit/worn on its edge.
The full MOT report is included with the advert.
With the faults properly repaired, this could make a lovely TT for someone who appreciates these cars. Its good-running BAM engine, Quattro specification and clean bodywork and interior make it worth considering as a project.
Viewings and inspections welcome in Enfield. Reasonable offers will be considered.
Sold as an MOT-failure repair project requiring work.
