The car was declared SORN for approximately four years as I had little use for it, but kept it for sentimental reasons rather than selling. Last year, I spent around £2,500 getting it back on the road, including suspension work, timing belt, water pump, air conditioning, brakes, new battery and a full service. For transparency, the diesel particulate filter (DPF) additive fluid needs replenishing. I already have the fluid and will include it in the sale, but haven't arranged for it to be added. Despite the recent expenditure, I still rarely use the car and can no longer justify the insurance, tax and other running costs. After years of holding onto it for sentimental reasons, it's time for someone else to make use of it.
