For sale is my beautiful Magic Black, 5dr, VW Golf MK5 GTI. Approaching 19 years of age - this is a great example of a modern classic hot hatch. I have carefully owned her since May 2017, so just under 10 years. Prior to my ownership, it was looked after by two former owners. This is clear from the service history which includes service stamps from 2007 to 2018 and lots of paperwork during this time and to present. This has been my daily driver up until March 2026 (company car requires sale). She has been on the drive unused since (other than the occasional short trip/service visit at the local independent). As you will see from the pictures she is in great condition for her age. It has just been serviced and Mot'd (expires Sept 2027). Recent work includes front ball joints, cam follower (changed as a precaution as a key part/risk area for these engines), new alternator and aux belts (due to early signs of bearing wear). Both rear wheel bearings and speed sensors have also been changed in the last 24 months. I have also replaced both wings which are a key rust point on these (colour matched - magic black). The roof lining has also been recently reupholstered by me - a labour of love but a weak point of these and lots on the market with these still sagging. I sought the closest colour match I could find to retain an OEM look/feel. All original - I have resisted the temptation to tune (a great base to enjoy as is or of course if someone who wants to modify ). Other points to note - heated leather interior with no rips or significant bolster wear. No warning lights or interior damage not unexpected for age/milage. 2 keys, and original service docs/leather gti manual. Even has all the old tax discs Wheels are original with minimal curb marks (could do with a refurbish more so for the inner parts). Tyres are matching Pirelli's and all round decent tread. Brakes also in good shape. Bodywork is in good condition but has a few scuffs/stone chips/door dings - as you would expect for a car of this age. The sills are showing some surface rust (another common issue for the mk5), and the rear arches are starting to bubble in localised spots. I have shown these in the photos along with any larger marks/dents etc. Priced to reflect the above work still required to fully restore. Any questions or checks welcome.
