Description
I am sadly selling my Jaguar XJ Sport 3.2 V8 finished in stunning gun metal grey with Oatmeal leather interior. A real head turner. It sits on Celtic alloys with near new matching Hankook Ventus Prime tyres.
I use this Jag regularly and I've covered nearly 6000 miles in the time I have owned it since April 2024. I think these cars are best appreciated when they're driven, and this one drives very smoothly, the engine is a gem and it pulls in all gears as it should. This is a modern classic that can be used as a daily driver too. ULEZ compliant.
The interior is clean and in very good order, but the driver seat is showing some signs of wear. The headlining is in excellent condition and not sagging as happens with a lot of these old jags. The paintwork absolutely shines and has a deep reflection to it thanks to a ceramic polish I regularly use on it.
As with these old ladies, there are some rust spots coming out in the usual places as per the photos.
So, now for the honesty bit which I want to share with any buyer. The key fob has just packed up. I've changed the battery in it but it has had no effect. The central locking works on the key as usual.
I have had to fit a remote battery isolator to the battery as there is an electrical drain if left unisolated. I have spent money in looking for the drain but to no avail. However, the vehicle electrician thinks it's something to do with the cd changer in the boot as there is evidence of a previous leak. As a result, the 'battery not charging ' light is on, but it has been tested and is absolutely charging. I had the isolator fitted two years ago and it works perfectly without any need to charge.
Aircon needs a recharge.
New bits I've fitted or attended to include, new battery, 4 new Hankook tyres, front discs and pads, new alternator, auxillary belt, both front suspension springs and spring pans.(Only o/s fitted, n/s will be provided). Some welding was required for the MOT which has been done and sealed.
MOT until June 2027.
Full service in April 2024, interim service April 2026.
Thanks for looking.
