This stunning 2003 Jaguar XK8 Coupe in classic Metallic Black sits on handsome Apollo 19" alloy wheels and presents as a genuinely excellent example of this modern classic. I have owned and cherished the car since 2020, acquiring it with 64,500 miles on the clock, and have added just 20,000 miles in six years of careful, enthusiast ownership.
Throughout my ownership, cost has never been a barrier to keeping this XK8 in exceptional mechanical and cosmetic condition. A comprehensive programme of maintenance and improvement has been carried out, detailed below.
Mechanical Highlights
New engine oil cooler
Front water housing replaced
Rear subframe replaced
Front shock absorbers replaced
Gearbox serviced
Front and rear brake discs and pads replaced
Bodywork & Exterior
The bodywork is in excellent, rust-free condition following professional remedial work carried out to address the common trouble spots on this model, as listed below.
Front sill ends repaired
Rear sill ends repaired
Rear quarter lower panels repaired
The paintwork is in excellent condition, with just a few minor stone chips consistent with the car's age and use.
Upgraded with an Amesh rear box delete, giving a lovely, mellow growl that shows off the V8 soundtrack beautifully without being over the top. The original rear box sections are included with the car and can be easily bolted back on if a fully original exhaust is preferred.
The Apollo 19" wheels have been refurbished and fitted with new Falken tyres all round.
Interior
The interior is in fantastic condition, with ivory leather seats and all electrics in full working order. The front wooden trim has been upgraded to original Jaguar hand-finished piano black; the original wood trim comes with the car and is in first-class condition. The steering wheel has been upgraded to all-black leather, and the original beige leather/wood wheel is also included.
The carpets and roof lining are in very good condition, complemented by a set of deep-pile black overmats.
All controls work as they should, including the automatic headlights. The radio and CD changer are original and fully functional, including the electric aerial. The CD player is currently unplugged to make way for a Bluetooth hands-free unit housed in the glove box, which can easily be switched back if preferred.
