Description

I've owned this 530d since 2000 and it has been all over France and Spain with total reliability. I do keep up to date with anything needed and to show you that, I have recently put a new battery on it together with a new crank pulley costing over 1000 pounds because the battery warning light came on affecting the power steering and air con functions. As you see in the pictures the computer screens confirm what I say however, the light bulb and particulate warning are due to a blip in the system and not actual faults. It does need a service. The car has been great and my love for the model has driven to buy a slighter newer model with much less mileage. Everything on the car works, ice cold aircon, electric windows, good tyres it's all OK. MPG averages the early 30's and can be as high as 40 on a run. The bodywork is sound, however as the pictures show, the lacquer is failing in places but allowing for the mileage and age of the car, I think you will be happy with it's overall presentation. The car has a towbar and electrics. OK that's a fair review of the car BUT it does have a small problem with the ECU. Basically the computer comes up with a RED service light from time to time. You then need to stop the car, turn off the engine and ignition then restart the car and everything is OK. It seems to happen when the engine is cold and is sporadic. I want the new owner to know exactly what there are buying so it's better for all if I sell it as SPARES OR REPAIR. It really is still a pleasure to drive but at 20 years old I guess it's showing it's age. Please ask any questions you would like answering and I will come back to you with a truthful answer.
