Description
Silverstone GP Edition number 05/50
The time has come to part ways, I've owned this Twingo RS from the start of this year until now. Over the 10 ish months I've been its lucky custodian its had extensive work carried out; full service and cambelt service completed in March 2026, clutch slave cylinder in May, front drop links in June, subframe repair in July, clutch master cylinder in September as well as some new wheel bearings. All of the above totaling a little under 8 thousand pounds, mechanically this car has been looked after.
The gearbox fitted to these Twingo RS's was an interesting choice by Renualt, it makes its noises and has its quirks, but can be very rewarding when driven well.
Cosmetically the car is ok. The front end has got some stone chips, the black strips on the door B-pillars have started to show their age, as have all Silverstones. Specific to the Silverstone was a Stainless Steel exhaust system. All 4 wheels could do with a refurb however the tyres are good and there aren't any leaks.
In the boot are cables to allow for a sub to be fitted, though I myself wouldn't know its function as I've never had one in there. Cruise control is fitted aftermarket and at present doesn't work, I believe this is the clutch pedal switch that I knocked when doing the master cylinder, but with other cars taking up time, I've not looked at this. The steering wheel is from a Clio and has some cracking in the leather, the car also comes with a spare steering wheel and stalks to revert it back to standard (without cruise control). The interior is in good condition. The dashboard cowel has at some point had a velvet wrap, I've taken this off the upper piece and the bottom just needs a little sand.
The numberplate TW05 NGO, relating to it being a Twingo and number 05/50 can be had with the car, subject to negotiation.
I'll be sad to see this one go but with other cars needing more of my time, I unfortunately don't have room for this fun French hothatch.
