Volkswagen Golf GTI - Over £4,000 Recently Spent on Repairs & Maintenance Selling my Volkswagen Golf GTI, which has had over £4,000 spent on repairs, maintenance and improvements, with invoices available for the work carried out. I've invested heavily in this car to address the common issues and wear-and-tear items that typically need replacing as these cars get older. Rather than leaving expensive jobs for the next owner, I've had them properly sorted. Recent work includes: - PCV valve replaced - Water pump replaced - Fresh tyres - New front brake discs - New brake pads all round - Brand-new battery - Wheel alignment carried out - Professional bodywork straightening and alignment repairs Category S History The car is Category S, and I'm being completely upfront about this. However, I don't believe the classification should put buyers off considering the car. It has recently been to IRL in Rotherwas for professional straightening and alignment work to bring everything back into specification. The car runs and drives perfectly, with no known faults. From my experience driving it, there's nothing to suggest it's any different from a comparable non-categorised GTI. The Category S history is reflected in the price, but the car has had considerable money spent on getting it properly sorted rather than cutting corners. Private Registration The car is currently displaying the private registration M321 ESM, which is not included in the sale. The original registration plates will be reinstated for the next owner. Summary Over £4,000 has been invested in the car, including many of the expensive maintenance jobs that commonly arise as these GTIs get older.
