Elon Musk has publicly committed to free hardware upgrades for HW3 cars with purchased FSD if needed for unsupervised self-driving. FSD (Supervised) is now available in selected European countries. Future UK features and any hardware upgrade remain subject to Tesla's rollout, eligibility and regulatory approval; no UK date is confirmed. Currently available features require active driver supervision. A new car computer (HW3) was fitted by Tesla in April 2024.
