Description
This vehicle has been in the family since almost new, having been passed between relatives over the years. It has been serviced annually at a local garage throughout its life, although unfortunately we don't have the paperwork to back up the earlier service history.
My partner and I have owned the car since approximately 90,000 miles. As my partner has a fairly lengthy commute, the mileage has increased quite quickly, but the car has been well maintained throughout our ownership.
Recent servicing and maintenance:
07/07/2026 - Full service, including all filters
2025 - New battery
2025 - Anti-roll bar links replaced
2025 - Both front shock absorbers replaced
2025 - CV gaiter and steering rack gaiter replaced
2026 - All engine mounts replaced
2026 - Clutch slave cylinder replaced
The car starts, runs and drives really nicely. The only thing worth mentioning mechanically is that you need to be slightly firm when selecting reverse gear, but otherwise it's a great little runaround. These engines have a reputation for going on forever!
Cosmetically, there are a few small patches of rust starting to appear, along with the usual dings, dents and marks you'd expect from a car of this age and mileage. It's certainly no show pony, but it's an honest, dependable workhorse and has been priced accordingly.
There are a couple of months' MOT remaining, with no advisories on the last test.
The only reason we're selling is that we're making the switch to an electric car due to rising fuel costs. Otherwise, we'd happily keep it!
Open to sensible offers. I also have a walkaround video showing the car running, which I'm happy to send over via WhatsApp to anyone genuinely interested.
Thanks,
Alec
