The chain... hasnt been done as it doesn't need doing. It's well reported 3L V6 survive upto 200k without needing a chain unless you hear it rattling which is caused by lack of oil changes. You've got to think if the car has had the chain done below 150k why did it need doing in first place how many times has it been driven harsh/low oil/lack of changes for it to need a new chain. Treat these 3L v6s nicely and your chain will last, don't treat them nicely and that's why you'll find examples under 150k that have had timing chains done it's not a good thing.
This isn't similar to the 2l tfsi which do need the chains doing. The owners... 9 prev sounds high but what do you expect it's a performance car people don't tend to keep them long and in reality it's a 14 year old car. The previous owner before me had it for 4 months he had to sell due to a permanent leg injury paid 8.5k (proof) from a dealership who I've spoke to myself and they said they give their cars a full health inspection and don't just take on badly kept stock you're more than welcome to give them a call too! The owner before him had the car for 4 years so it's not a car that's been passed around over the last few years (ownership history on HPI)
No weird supercharger noises, no oil leaks, coolant leaks, no timing chain rattle, auto box is silky smooth no juddering doesn't feel rough going into drive reverse or any of the gears, roof works no leaks, no damp spots anywhere. Please bring a specialist who knows these cars well, I'm confident in it's reliability. Im not a trader as such, just a normal guy who wants to experience as many of my dream cars I had growing up. This is quite the upgrade from my Corsa vxr and looking to get into an Audi tts next. I enjoy the car, log book comes & list it for sale. If it sells quick fine and if it sells in 6 months that's also fine I only buy cars I feel will be reliable for me long term incase it doesn't sell.
Last oil change 1000mls ago. Looking for stage 2/3 TTS MK2 Auto not convertible or 350z 370z
