Description

1983 Porsche 911 SC Sport - UK RHD Highlights UK market right-hand-drive example in ultra-rare factory-correct Glacier Blue Very high specification Sport model, complete with factory-fitted sunroof and Sport seats 16-inch polished Speedline Mistral alloy wheels Bilstein suspension Handsome blue interior with light piping on leather seats Well-documented history with a significant paperwork file Private registration included in sale MOT/road tax exempt The Appeal Every once in a while, a car comes along that ticks all the right boxes. This is one of them. '80s 911s were well-built and enjoy a good survival rate as a result, but few can boast such an enviable original specification as this SC from 1983. Factory-specified in the rare and oh-so fetching Glacier Blue, this highly-optioned car is believed by the vendor to be the coveted Sport model, complete with a Porsche-fitted sunroof. Many consider the SC the best of the air-cooled 911s, offering ample usable performance and greater reliability from its 3.0-litre, fuel-injected aluminium 'boxer' engine than its predecessors. It was a huge success, helping to ensure that the 911 lived on far longer than envisaged by Porsche itself at a time when the Stuttgart manufacturer was experimenting with front-engined, water-cooled GTs. I have owned the UK market RHD example since 2002, and that it has always been stored in a garage and only driven in the dry since then. During their ownership, the car has been resprayed in its original Glacier Blue (L32Z) and fitted with a larger rear spoiler and polished Speedline Mistral 16-inch split-rim alloy wheels.
