Brake pipes replaced, Oil leak was actually the Lanoguard underseal, MOT tester got it wrong and the winscreen has been gel repaired. This is what happens when Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations team takes a Range Rover Sport and decides that a 5.0-litre supercharged V8, an active sports exhaust and 542bhp are entirely reasonable things to put into a luxury family SUV. Finished in Corris Grey with Ebony perforated Oxford leather in the distinctive SVR pattern, this 2017 Range Rover Sport SVR has covered 62,063 miles and has just two previous keepers. The muscular SVR bodywork, gloss black detailing, bonnet vents and quad exhausts give it unmistakable presence without losing the luxury that makes a Range Rover special. The heart of the car is the supercharged 5.0-litre V8. It produces 542bhp and 680Nm of torque, drives all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic gearbox and launches this substantial SUV from 0–62mph in just 4.5 seconds, continuing to 162mph. But an SVR is much more than a big engine. The active sports exhaust is a huge part of its character, allowing that V8 to go from subdued to properly vocal depending on how the car is being driven. Supercharging also gives the engine an immediacy that suits the car perfectly – strong response without waiting for turbo boost. Land Rover also completely reworked the chassis for SVR duty. Adaptive Dynamics continuously adjusts the dampers to suit the road and your driving style, while Dynamic Response actively controls body roll, helping this large SUV stay remarkably composed when you start pushing it through corners. Torque Vectoring helps the car rotate by intelligently managing power and braking across the wheels, while the SVR-specific four-corner electronic air suspension gives you that unusual combination of serious body control and genuine Range Rover comfort. And unlike many performance SUVs, it is still a proper Land Rover. Terrain Response 2, high and low range transmission, Hill Descent Control and permanent four-wheel drive mean the SVR retains genuine all-terrain ability underneath all that performance. The specification is excellent too. Factory options include the fixed panoramic glass roof with powered blind, privacy glass, Corris Grey paint and SVR-pattern Ebony perforated Oxford leather. Inside you also get heated front and rear seats, heated leather steering wheel, Meridian Digital Surround Sound, TFT virtual instrument display, keyless entry, three-zone climate control and configurable ambient lighting. Driver technology includes Adaptive Cruise Control with Queue Assist, Intelligent Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Monitor with Reverse Traffic Detection, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition, 360-degree parking sensors and a reversing camera. And then there is the design. Gloss black bonnet vents, grille, mirror caps and side vents, SVR badging, blue brake calipers and those four enormous exhaust outlets leave very little doubt about what this is. The service history includes Land Rover/JLR maintenance as well as specialist independent servicing, with the most recent service carried out at 60,777 miles in July 2025. 542bhp. Supercharged V8. 680Nm. 0–62mph in 4.5 seconds. Active exhaust. SVR chassis. Four-wheel drive. A family SUV when you need it to be. An SVR when you don’t.
