Selling my immaculate, wholly original, show-winning Ford Focus RS Mk1 with only 35650 miles This is build number 4,450 of just 4,501 ever made - one of the very last off the production line, benefiting from all the refinements Ford made through the production run. The car is wholly unmodified except for the standard dump valve being replaced with a recirculation valve (a commonly preferred modification), and a very small chin splitter (which I keep on to protect the front bumper over speed bumps etc.). Everything else is exactly as Ford intended. I am only the 4th owner from new, with both myself and the previous owner keeping it garaged and never driving it in rain or winter. It has won several 'Best in Show' trophies at the RS Collectors Club. The bodywork is pristine. The previous owner had the sills, front wings and front bumper professionally removed, with all rust cut out / treated and panels resprayed to a very high standard. The interior is similarly pristine. I put four new Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres on as soon as I bought it, and have only put ~1,500 miles on them since. It has just had a full service carried out, including oil and air filter. I also had the thermostat housing replaced at the same time as it had a very small leak and I wanted the car to be perfect (this is a known weak point on these cars). It has a Full Ford Service History, supplemented by specialist stamps. It also comes with the original RS documentation folder, original RS mats, a fifth OZ wheel (increasingly hard to source), bespoke RS seat covers, and a bespoke car cover. MOT until April 2027 The car drives exactly as you'd hope given the design and condition. Strong, progressive pull from 3,000rpm; flat through corners with tremendous grip and direct steering; and exceptional brakes. It's also just as great on a motorway as on a B-road. The only negatives - there is one small stone chip on the front bumper, one small blemish on the roof, and a very small mark on one wheel - I'm noting here for full transparency, but all are easy to correct. I'm only selling as I have another fun collectors car on my driveway, and hence this Focus is not enjoying as much driving time as it should. I'm not in any rush to sell - my main focus is on finding a fellow enthusiast who will continue to cherish what I believe is one of the finest remaining examples of this iconic modern classic.
