Pride and joy 1998 SL 500 40th Anniversary Special Edition 750 made world wide, 150 Units in RHD format (Inc. V6 models so an even smaller number!) Investment grade vehicle! I am the 3rd owner, purchased from a lovely chap in Cornwall who had owned the vehicle for 15 years! Service file shows no expenses spared. The paint is the main attraction - Designo vario colour, depending on light the car flips between dark purple, light blue, shades of green thrown in there, it is spectacular. Soft top in perfect condition and working order. Still has all the original stitching and windows are in great nick. I have 18" AMG monoblocks as seen in the pictures but also recently purchased a set of original EVO 2 wheels which are correct for the 40th Anniversay vehicles, both wheels will be sold with the car, the EVO2 wheels are 17 and give a better ride but the monoblocks do give a more aggressive look, both look amazing and you'll benefit between switching as you see fit. I was provided with a roof garage winch system but I haven't had time to assemble or try it out but that will also be provided as well as a roof stand to store the hard top roof away during the summer. There's not a singular speck of rust on the car, could it do with a machine polish - yes but what near 30 year old car doesn't ? Underneath is spotless, I have videos from its last service which I am more than happy to share. Is there a better weekend cruiser with smooth performance, a lovely V8 soundtrack and effortlessly cool style- I certainly don't think so! Serious buyers only, I am more than happy to take you out in the vehicle on a lengthy test drive and spend time showing you around.
