Quite possibly the best car I've ever owned, and still a pleasure to drive. Drives and handles brilliantly, and as the Sports Plus edition, it has stiffer suspension and a more sporty drive. The 2.0L Diesel turbo engine punches with a nice dose of torque, but is also smooth, especially on longer trips, which is where this car really shines. For longer journeys this car gets great economy, but this goes down if your journeys are all shorter. I've had this car for nearly 31,000 miles, and have undertaken a lot of maintenance during this time, including: - coolant gasket replacement (2024) - x2 rear wheels were refurbished (2024) - x2 rear brake discs (2024) - x2 rear brake pads (2024) - new battery (2024) - new official bmw mats x4 (2024) - all bmw centre caps replaced (2024) - fuel filter replaced (2025) - fuel feed unit replaced (2025) - EGR valve replaced (2025) - handbrake repair (2026) - radiator replacement (2026) - front suspension springs x2 (2026) - rear suspension springs x2 (2026) - front shock absorbers x2 (2026) - rear shock absorbers x2 (2026) - front brake discs x2 (2026) - front brake pads x2 (2026) - rear brake pads x2 (2026) - new airbag fitted by bmw under recall (2026) - multiple sets of wipers and tyres replaced throughout (Bridgestone Turanza) - x3 oil and oil filter changes (24,25,26) - air filter, cabin filter replaced during ownership MOT'd with no advisories, March 2026. Bodywork is average for the age; a few small scrapes, scratches, but overall the paintwork still gleams and looks good. I purchased this car from a local mechanic, where it had been his personal car beforehand. The same garage has done a good chunk of the maintenance over the years. Timing chain is believed to have been done at about 130K. This car is a high spec 3 series, and comes with heated front seats, full blue stitch leather, Bluetooth calling, fully working (not stuck) coffee holder inserts etc. The negatives are as follows: - The rear inside light is not working due to a wire issue (since I've had it), but the bulbs are new (replaced) and will work as soon as that wire is replaced or repaired. - Rear seat belt plug on the passenger side needs replacing and doesn't click in. - Front suspension bushes are worn and will soon need changing. - The front bumper had cracks in which were tied and fused together, but seems to have been stable for a long time.
