It has been well serviced throughout its life; there have been a couple instances of mileage being stretched a little between services before my ownership but nothing that put me off making the purchase.
Ive had the timing chain replaced by a BMW specialist (@ 120,000 miles) I have the invoice as well as photos and videos to prove this. And the ZF gearbox serviced with a new sump pan with magnetic filters and fresh ZF fluid @ 121,000 miles. Neither of these systems were showing signs of needing to be done but I wanted to make sure I stayed ahead and kept it running as well as it can for as long as possible
The previous owner had a brand-new turbo fitted with BMW not long before I took ownership back in Dec 2022 @ 112,000 miles. I have the invoice for this.
Mechanical work within my ownership:
Timing chain @ 120,000 miles - Photos of work done
ZF Gearbox flushed, new sump, refilled and parameters reset @ 121,000 miles
New genuine rocker cover and gaskets @137,000 miles
New rear air springs - they were leaking ride heigh is now stable
New Rear discs and pads
4 brand new tyres - Kumho Ecsta Sport PSZ2 (less than 500 miles driven)
New auxiliary belt and tensioners
New Rear dampers, top mounts and bump stops
General servicing when required
New engine mounts
Condition:
Visually the car has some battle scars and few dinks / scratches here and there but presents incredibly well considering age the mileage.
The most noticeable cosmetic damage is on the passenger side doors and rear quarter. Sadly, it was the victim of a being keyed and the previous owner had a smart repair done that has failed, you can see the dull spots in the pictures and were the lacquer has degraded.
Mechanically the car drives and handles wonderfully, it's effortless to use and is very quiet on motorways and is just a pleasure to use for long journeys especially.
