Family owned car, very well maintained, genuinely regardless of cost for my daughters. Genuine reason for sale, as they are both at University, so no longer require a car. 4 previous owners, but one of those was my eldest daughter. Great first car! 50+ MPG, £200 per year road tax Extensive service history, receipts, service folder and log book. Priced to sell, accounting for the high mileage, some minor paint dings and scuffs, as you would expect for a car of this age. There is no air conditioning. Ignore the high miles, the car has been very well maintained, and high miles due to Needham Market to Cambridge commutes by both daughters and the previous lady owner. Supplied originally by Barnards at Stowmarket and subsequently resold by VW at Bury St Edmunds, so a local car to me. Clean and in good condition, very well maintained. The engine is the 1.4 MPI engine, normally aspirated, so therefore one to have (bullet proof, no turbo etc..), 85 hp, cheap to insure for a young driver. The engine is very sweet running, doesn't burn any oil between changes and unlike the latter 1.0, 1.2 TSI and TSFI engines isn't plagued by timing chain rattles and turbo issues. No fault lights on this car. Good spec with some optional extras - 2 keys, factory alarm immobiliser, central locking, cruise control, trip computer, rear parking sensors, all electric windows and door mirrors, arm rest, tire pressure monitoring, infotainment system aux input to connect phone, CD, Waze/Google satnav, full size spare wheel with new tyre and complete original jack and tool kit, VW factory overmats front and rear, 15" alloy wheels. Sub 12 month/10k mile service intervals. Always VW/507 fully synthetic spec oil and Bosch filters (oil, air, fuel and cabin). Resent full service and MOT, including 2 x new premium tyres, oil change & filter, air filter, recent fuel and cabin filters. 4 x matching- Goodyear Efficiency Grip New Yusa 5000 battery 4 x Sachs shock adsorbers, cambelt change at ~100k, front drop links, steering rack inner ball joint, 2 x rear brake callipers, good discs & pads, coolant, brake and gearbox oil changes, header tank, Yuasa 5000 battery.
