Description

I am only offering this car for sale as I think my wife might be right - I have too many. I only bought this one, on impulse, about a month ago as I fell in love with it straight away - it's cute in an Ivory white colour. I have already spent some money on it, with a service and MoT and some other minor bits and bobs, and I am not that bothered if it sells as it is a great car and I'll be quite happy to keep until next summer (so no silly offers please) and enjoy it then or sell it for more (as these are getting collectible - the next engine model is not so reliable). This is one of the last BMW Oxford built models with the super reliable W10 Tritec engine. It is an increasingly rare Sidewalk Cooper model, with the diamond cut wheels, leather interior, rear parking sensors, cruise control etc. Being a Cooper model it has the sports handling but without the insurance cost and maintainence of the Cooper S models She (my wife calls her Doris) is in great condition. Mechanically everything works exactly as it should, I have much service history and common isues like gearbox and front strut tops have been sorted only a few thousand miles ago. She flew though the MoT with only a couple of minor advisories (front discs worn), she drives beautifully (go-kart-ish like mini's do) and the electric hood is in great condition and works perfectly. There is nothing needed mechanically for some time now (MoT until Nov 27 and just serviced), tyres and exhaust are good and cosmetically there are only a few minor things (stone chips and the like) that I will do over winter if it doesn't sell - and as I am fussy these are things they may not bother other people. She has had a lot of owners, but if you know anything about convertibles this is not unusual - people buy them, have some fun and then change after a year or two. She has averaged 5,200 miles per year over her 18 years, so there is plenty of life and fun left in her yet (especially being BMW construction).
