Description
Middlehurst Road Race & Classic present this 1985 Nissan Skyline R31 GT Passage Twin-Cam Group A Prototype, which was debuted by Nissan at the 1985 Tokyo Motor Show.
This 1 of 1 race specification prototype was built, tested and developed by NISMO as they considered to homologate the 4 door KRR31 for Group A racing competition after the the seventh-generation Skyline R31, commonly known as the “Seven”, was launched in August 19, 1985. It was exhibited at the Tokyo Motor Show in October 1985, where it attracted longing looks from visitors.
NISMO however, decided to homologate the 2-door model for Group A racing instead, after its launch in late 1986. In 1987, the Nissan Skyline R31 GTS-R (KHR31) competed in the 'All-Japan Championship', in which driver A. Suzuki clinched both the constructor and driver championships.
Until recent years, the car was owned by Nissan and displayed as part of the Nissan Heritage Collection (Car #103), before being acquired and kept as part of a private collection in Japan. We have subsequently purchased it and it is currently in transit to the UK, with an ETA of early 2027.
A fantastic opportunity to own a very unique and highly original piece of Nissan/NISMO history. What makes it even more unique, is that it was fully road-registered in Japan, which means that it will be road registered in the UK, upon arrival.
