Description

A fabulous example in the very 1970's colour of Harley Davidson Orange being an older restoration which has matured beautifully and now presents superbly. 8000 + spent on mechanical renovations since 2014 including the original engine fully rebuilt and balanced with new clutch and rebuilt overdrive unit. New brakes, tyres and much more besides. Interior is outstanding with original seats (not MX5 seats) recovered with new leather facings and Motolita steering wheel and early Elm dashboard, new carpets and Triumph overmats. Sound smart and functioning hood and frame with full tonneau cover. Fresh Mot at sale (183 miles since last Mot June 2022) and newly recommissioned after a period of storage, this stunning example is available in Devon. Excellent Mot history, full documented record of sympathetic restorative works to tune of over 8000 and just two registered keepers since 2001. 19 Mot test certificates and many expired tax discs. Current Mot with no advisories. Bought by the last keeper but one from TRGB in 2001 and who lavished huge amounts of time and money on this pampered car. 17000 miles then and just 29000 miles now. Records indicate this was originally restored around 7 years earlier in the mid 1990's so only 29000 miles since that restoration and just 12000 miles in last 21 years. This has not been pulled apart and rebuilt from scratch but was a lovely sound and original example that has now had the benefit of much expenditure to bring it right up to date and makes a wonderfully useable un modified and non-molested example. A genuine 150 bhp CP chassis UK registered from new classic. Early 1972 and first registered March 1972. The engine has a turbine smoothness to it which reflects the care and balancing that was given during the rebuild which naturally allows it to run with unleaded fuel and with lumenition electronic ignition. An Uprated radiator was fitted and a recent new Bosch fuel pump. Driving is an absolute pleasure with instant response from the overdrive on 2nd, 3rd and 4th as was always the case on these early cars. The smooth six cylinder soundtrack is also intoxicating and encourages gear changes up and down the box with no shortage of power available at any point. Never been outside the UK, proper CP chassis number. This is NOT a LHD converted USA import with the underpowered 105 bhp engine. Priced well below top full restoration examples representing excellent value given all the work completed
