Description
Welcome to Hartley Cars North West Ltd. What you are about to read could never be repeated. We will also be covering a video walk around after our final PDI. The storey begins with a very nice middle aged Gentleman buying this superb example from new to add to his collection. Having used this vehicle as his main daily car due to his circumstances run up 96k miles. Whilst maintaining his car collection this Porsche Macan S has a complete and comprehensive service history portfolio with a 100% reliability record however there was a recent twist which changed everything. Back in February this year our customer experienced a knocking / tapping noise on engine tick over. After further investigation at the Porsche Main Dealer they concluded that a timing chain replacement would be the solution. £5000 later having followed the main dealers advice the noise was still apparent. Clearly the main dealer got this wrong however took no responsibility for the miss diagnosis and was determined that it had to be the pistons. Without many options our customer replaced all 6 pistons / injectors and liners including other good practice components. Guess what? the noise was still apparent… finally the noise was properly diagnosed as the dual mass fly wheel and yes the noise disappeared. As you can imagine after paying a total of £21,000 yes £21,000 over the last few months our customer still purchased another new Porsche this time a new EV Mecan. Future proof like no other: We include a 12 x month National Warranty and the invoices demonstrating how well this example will perform in the future. Normally when a buying a used vehicle we expect used car parts and engine wear as part of the risk we take. This example has had all of the major, major components replaced and re manufactured taking away the gamble aspect of a used vehicle. We purchased this vehicle bringing it to the market place based on what we have learnt prior to purchase and of course the colour combination, 1 x very careful owner and second to non service history. Looks smells and drives like a brand new example.
