Description
TVR is a British company founded by Trevor Wilkinson in 1947 that produced sports cars and racing cars from a factory in Blackpool. TVR is an abbreviation of the founder's name (TreVoR).
The TVR Chimaera was launched in 1993 and was produced until 2001 becoming TVR's best selling model. TVR made some 6000 Chimaeras with engine sizes ranging from 4 litres to 5 litres.
Its name was derived from Chimera, the monstrous creature of Greek mythology, which was made of the parts of multiple animals. This reflects the fact that, for example, the 4 litre V8 engine in this car is from a Range Rover, the rear light cluster from a Ford Fiesta and the front indicator from a Challenger Tank!

Each TVR is built to a customer's unique specification. Customers could even specify the colour of the stitching on the carpets. This one is painted in Metallic Cooper Green with Magnolia Leather upholstery.
There is a plethora of service history with this car, which is now due another service and like any 26 year old car it needs its ongoing TLC, but the sound will make you smile.
